RISE UP, This is a Test!

THIS WEEK’S NEW FEATURED EPISODE

“DISCERN” Episode #12. “Rise Up, This Is a Test”

Hello GIVERS — Here is your weekly relationship contribution from GIVERS University.

DO YOU HAVE GIVERS HABIT #22?

Do You Know What To Watch For With Takers Habit #22?

The following is an excerpt from The GIVERS Lifestyle course/book by E.A. Csolkovits:

GIVERS Habit #22: Rises through testing times.

Builds upon temporary defeats and adversities. This GIVER understands the importance of tests.

EXAMPLE: In the exercise world, the use of resistance has been conclusively proven to build muscle. The process begins by breaking down the muscle fibers through tension, time, and resistance … followed by a 1 – 2 day rest period. This rest period is when the muscle repairs itself. As the muscle repairs itself over and over, it builds strength. Notice that the muscle grows after the exercise, not during. The muscles are tested and forced into temporary defeat (muscle failure). After this temporary defeat, the growth happens. This is another miracle of life and further proof of Intelligent Design.

This kind of GIVER has learned to rejoice during testing times and embrace the temporary defeat and adversities as a good thing. How can this be? Just as the muscle grows after, and as a Result of, the muscle breakdown, so does the person grow after the testing times break them down. For the wise and understanding GIVER of this habit, they do not fear temporary defeat, they build upon it. Their temporary adversities are the stepping stones that they RISE UP on.

Every adversity carries with it an equal or greater benefit through Intelligent Design

This is where it gets really interesting and dynamic. This kind of GIVER knows that the greater their test(s), and the lower and more abased they become through their afflictions, the greater they will RISE UP, the higher and more exalted they will become. This incredible dynamic within The Law of Compensation virtually and arguably guarantees this GIVERS prosperity. Their tests create the growth to excel. They embrace this chastening. Keep the GIVERS of this Habit close to you.

Takers Habit #22: Runs from tests.

Retreats quickly. Easily accepts temporary defeats and adversities as permanent failures. The Taker of this Habit throws in the towel at the very first signs of resistance or temporary defeat. This kind of Taker’s lack of understanding and/or lack of motivation is at the heart of their lack of prosperity. The Taker of this Habit has not learned the important role that temporary defeat plays in becoming a mature and wise GIVER.

This Taker fears failure, rather than embracing it. This fear causes them to avoid any and all temporary failures. This avoidance Results in the Taker avoiding true Happiness and prosperity.

The GIVERS Lifestyle ™ www.GIVERSlifestyle.com [171] The GIVE To Be Great™ Series GIVEToBeGreat.com

Happiness is not the absence of temporary failures; rather, the proper management of them. This Taker of Habit #22 has not the knowledge that success is based, in a large part, on your ability to build upon your temporary defeats, not the absence of the defeats. Takers of Habit #22 assume that all defeats and failures are permanent. Actually, they are accurate in this assessment, as it relates to them because they make it so.

The author interviewed over 1,000 successful and prosperous business persons. Every one of them, with no exceptions, had an instance of time when they were faced with great defeat to the extent that the “normal” person would have GIVEN up. They did not! They never gave up!

This kind of Taker has sold themselves a bill of goods that are defective. This Taker thinks that the term “temporary” means “permanent.” This misdiagnosis of their condition causes the chronic running from the very event(s) that provide their success. Their fear of abasement rules them. This Taker will run from you as fast as they run from any adversity, defeat, or failure.
