When we see the same people and hear the same information at every meeting, it is easy to become complacent and then fatigue can set in which ultimately leads to a drop-off in meeting attendance.
Here are a few simple and easy ways to eliminate meeting fatigue.
Activation is the Key
Activation, in our context, is the blending of Activities and Imagination to make each and every meeting something to be anticipated.
By definition, Activation means the action or process of making something active or operative.
You want your GIVERS Junto meetings to be Highly Active … and Highly Operative.
Here Are a Few Pointers
Use your imagination and use the imagination of your members.
Ask everyone to come up with the following list on an ongoing basis and present it to those in attendance.
Guest Speakers:
There are many great guest speakers who are readily available to speak on a variety of topics and many will waive their speaking fee to be able to present their book.
Group Activities:
As a group, go to a food bank and help pack foods or serve meals at a soup kitchen.
Excitement Stories:
Share upcoming vacation plans or upcoming events and accomplishments since the previous meeting.
Recognition Opportunities:
Recognize members constantly.
Use your own imagination and the combined imagination of the group to make each and every meeting something that all members will anticipate and look forward to attending.
