Every Business or Solution, Always Started with One Thing — AN IDEA!
One Idea, in One Person’s Mind.
My mentor (Sam Robbins) said, “Even if you think you have money problems, you don’t. You have idea problems.”
So, at 19 years old, I asked him, “Sam, will you teach me everything? I mean, all of it. Don’t hold back, teach it all.”
Sam said, “Okay, I will. But I want one thing from you.”
He said, “When the time is right, and you will know that time. I want you to teach as many people as you can everything that I have taught you.”
So, at 19 years old, I made a vow. I made an oath to my mentor that today has manifested into GIVERS University.
I share all the things that I was blessed to have learned.
I didn’t make up any of it. None of it. It was all taught to me, because I had one ability.
And you know, some people say, “Well, what’s your superpower?”
It’s important to discover your superpower.
Well, I can tell you, I probably have one superpower.
And here’s what it is.
I have the ability to say, “You know, I don’t know about that. I’d love to learn. Can you teach me?”
That’s it. Sam said, “While everybody else is so interested in being the smartest person in the room, if you’re the smartest person in the room, then you’re in the wrong room. There’s nothing you can learn, go to another room.”
So, here I was at 19 years old, making this commitment, a vow and oath, and dissecting all of this information, letting it sift all the way through.
Sam fulfilled his commitment. And now, I’m fulfilling mine. And I’m very, very blessed to be able to be the Founder of GIVERS University.
What he shared with me impacted his life in so many ways. And one of the other things that he shared with me was that businesses are going to open and close faster than ever before. And don’t we see that today?
We definitely see that today.
In the past, businesses used to last for multiple generations.
But now, if they last five or six years, it’s an old established company.
And he said that products are going to come and go faster than ever before.
And we see today that products are antiquated overnight by other products.
He said, when it’s all done, there’s only one thing that’s going to be left. RELATIONSHIPS. Focus there. Focus on your relationships.
Because the people around you will have a HUGE impact on you in unspoken ways, ways that you don’t even realize. The people you work with, your friends, those in your social group … learn to be discerning in all of these relationships.
