ONE WORD That Can Change It All For You

Will you accept the challenge to remove this word from your vocabulary anytime you reference yourself or your actions? We challenge you to do this great self-growth mental action. So what is the one word that you use everyday that may be sabotaging you on a daily basis?

The word is “TAKE”

Think about how many times you say the word TAKE or TAKING in a day. You’ll be surprised.

Do This Simple and Fun One Day Experiment

Every time you think or say the word, make a hash mark on a piece of paper. You’ll be surprised at just how fast the hash marks accumulate and grow. Over and over again, we program ourselves to be Takers because we think or say that we are Taking multiple times each day.

We say things like, “I am going to take this seat.” Or, “These are the takeaways from the meeting.” Or even, “I am taking out the garbage.” We are saying it over and over again everyday. This is impacting you in ways that may not be immediately recognizable.

Your Challenge

Eliminate the word Take whenever you reference yourself in any way. Replace the word Take with other words like bring, remove, receive, obtain, etc. Rework sentences in your mind prior to speaking them. Rework when you would normally use the word Take when referring to yourself. Let you self-talk work for you, not against you. Stop using the word Take in your daily conversations.
