This is worth repeating: “Physical Action Speeds Mental Acceptance”
Studies have proven a secret technique to speed mental acceptance. When you temporarily feel that you’re not up to the task at hand, or you feel a bit sluggish (mentally or physically), here is what you can do. Stop over thinking it and just begin. Just start! Stop stalling and start doing. Begin thinking and acting like the task has already been completed. And, in a matter of minutes, the way you feel will begin to transform. Begin doing the physical action even when the mental acceptance is not fully there yet. You will begin to feel the difference as your mind accepts what you’re doing. Your physical action will speed your mental acceptance.
How Do You Do That?
This is where you’ll need discipline. When you have a day where you’re just not feeling good, the real challenge is to make yourself feel good. Don’t wallow in your own pity. Pity parties are going out of style. No one wants to attend them. People may listen to you whine and complain, but the whole time they’re thinking, “Man, I’ve got my own problems, get away from me.”
What’s very important to understand is that since physical action speeds mental acceptance, this means that when you do something enough, it becomes part of you. If you want to be happy, smile. If you’re not happy, make yourself smile, and I guarantee that you’ll start to feel happy. It’s very difficult to be sad when you’re smiling. Now, you’ll need the discipline to put a smile on your face.
GIVERS Do #7: Smile More Each Day
This is a way to GIVE both to yourself and others. Smiling is very important. It has been known for some time that it takes fewer muscles to smile than it does to frown. Concentrate on deliberately smiling more each day to prepare your mind for an increase in positive vibration. So, the next time you feel yourself stalling, just jump in and begin IMMEDIATELY. Stop thinking about it and just start.
